Choosing motor oil used to be simple. Today most shops offer three main types, and the right choice depends on your engine, mileage and the way you drive.
Conventional oil
Refined from crude oil, conventional oil is a dependable choice for older or simpler engines driven under light, everyday conditions.
Synthetic blend
A mix of conventional and synthetic base oils, a blend adds extra protection against heat and oxidation at a friendly price. It is a popular step up for daily commuters and light towing.
Full synthetic
Fully engineered base oils give the most consistent protection in extreme temperatures, for turbocharged engines and for longer intervals between changes.
When in doubt, follow the specification in your owner’s manual — and ask us. We look up your vehicle before any work begins and recommend the oil it actually needs.
